Ling-Temco-Vought A-7D (Corsair II)
This aircraft was used to train maintenance personnel at Griffiss Air Force Base, NY until the base was closed. It was sent to Fort Drum, NY to be used as an artillery/gunnery/bombing target. A member of the museum set the wheels in motion for Congressman Amo Houghton to have the Corsair II sent to Wings of Eagles Discovery Center. The aircraft has been restored to static display by gifted, loyal volunteers.

Visitors are able to explore our redesigned 25,000 square foot hangar at the Discovery Center's new location on Daniel Zenker Drive in Horseheads, NY. As our exhibits continue to expand, guests should expect to see exhibits being assembled, aircraft on display inside and outside the hangar, and other sights being erected. ‹more›
