The museum's N2S-3, BuNo 07190, was built by Boeing-Wichita and is one of a thousand ordered by the US Navy in 1942. Accepted by the Navy on November 5, 1942, it began its service at NAS Oakland on November 16. On October 4, 1943 it was transferred to NAS Livermore (CA), then to NAS Norman (OK) on June 20, 1944. Striken from service on March 31, 1946 it passed through several owners before it was acquired by the museum in the middle 1980s.
