Thank you for inquiring about volunteering at Wings of Eagles Discovery Center. Our faithful and dependable volunteers made it possible for the museum to open its doors at its new location at the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport in July 1998, and then re-open in April 2002 after our temporary closing in September 2001. Without their help, we would still be struggling to complete this project.

A special thank you to the 2007 volunteers for another year of dedication to our mission.

The need for volunteers has not stopped. As in years past, we must rely even more on our dedicated volunteer staff to perform the vital day-to-day operations. The following is a list of areas and projects where we could use your help:

• Admissions/Gift Shop
• Docents/Tour Guides
• Aircraft and Engine Restoration
• Advertising/Marketing
• Buildings and Grounds - (Includes Landscape, Yard Work, Snow Removal
• General Office and Computer Work
• Library/Collections Management - (Curator Assistance)
• Maintain Exhibits and Aircraft in a Clean and Orderly State
•  Special Events
