McDonnell/Douglas F-15A (Eagle)

Overview

McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather, tactical, air superiority fighter. The aircraft on display bears both the original “tail number” and that of the aircraft flown by Lt Gen David J. McCloud, who died in a private aircraft accident while Commander, Alaskan Air Command.

Thank you to two local businesses for providing materials to our restoration team while working on the F-15 during the summer of 2015. Welco Awnings in Ithaca, NY made two air intake covers, free of charge, and Moose’s Enterprise LLC in Troy, PA provided a set of decals.
