Overview
Done in conjunction with the Challenger Learning Center in Wheeling, WV
Students participate in a live simulation in which they act as emergency medical specialists on a Mercy ship traveling up the Amazon River. Students must evaluate the patients symptoms, order tests, diagnose and suggest treatment. Students have access to medical terminology as well as computer access to a database that links symptoms, possible conditions, test results, and treatment options.
- e-Missions can be done as a field trip to Wings of Eagles Discovery Center or in a classroom setting
